Human Nature #4 : Secrecy

The man who can keep a secret may be wise, but he is not half as wise as the man with no secret to keep

What is a secret? for a minority of introvert people, everything seems to be a secret, even for something that is really common to be known, cause usually these kind of people can't really express themselves well,  they don't get a lot of chances to show their true-self, therefore everything that is related to them becomes secret to everyone else.

Today I got another "wake-up" conversation, I often act like I really know what others' problems, I always convince myself that I was a really good listener, I was a person who could easily captured someone else's  thought, their point of view, even their personality, but actually I forget about something, yes it is secret. Human is just like an ocean, you won't know how deep it was, if you only see the surface and colors, you have to dive through it, so that you will know what kind of ocean it is. Human is just the same, you can't really understand someone, if you never really giving attention to them, cause sometimes what they are showing in the outside is contrast with what they really are.

Then why do people keeping a secret to other people? I myself have two kinds of secret, First is shareable secret, a secret that I only share with some specific closed-people. You know, there are some conversation that can only happen in one-on-one situation, when you can't just discuss it with many people, or perhaps this blog is one example of shareable secrets, cause I think it is only a few of people that know the existence of this blog, only very few friends know about it, and I will surely never discuss about what I write in this blog in a group of friends, cause it is just embarrassing you know haha. The other one is unshareable secrets, everyone must have keep it, something that only you and God know, haha don't deny it, you must be have some of it right? haha.

Then why did I do this? like I said before, because secret is something that can make you feel ashamed or scared or "weak", when you tell everybody else about it, you just feel that it is not right to tell it to anyone, probably, you guys have other reasons why you are keeping a secret, but for me it is the best answer when people asking me why? haha.

All in all, human is a really interesting object to be observed, it is just like an ocean, when you dive through it, you will see some beautiful corals, colourful fish, or maybe if you lucky you will find some buried treasures haha, but be careful, not every ocean is nice, there maybe a whirlpool that will suck you up or perhaps, a hungry shark that is ready to hunt you down, haha but one thing for sure, if you want to go dive, you'd better be careful haha :D
